Access Licences

Under the Access to Neighbourly Land Act 1992 and the Party Wall Etc Act 1996 construction access to neighbouring properties is granted under certain conditions. Some of the benefits of these statutes however, are limited and because urban development often means building close to or directly adjacent to boundaries, access is required to maintain the project.

At Behan Partnership ltd we adopt a diplomatic approach to secure the necessary access requirements to oversail with cranes and to erect scaffoldings, working platforms and hoardings that will, unless previously agreed, require the express consent of the adjoining owner.  Our negotiating skills place us perfectly to deal with and resolve these issues, and our wealth of experience in this field allows us to provide practical and strategic advise to all our clients.
